UPDATE #1: Looks like this will be a good one! So tell a friend, come on out, meet new people, and help support a good cause! And again, I encourage everyone to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE!

Okay, time to get together for our next happy hour!
Our happy hour will benefit the Homeless Children's Playtime Project... http://www.playtimeproject.net/... a local non-profit with the mission to nurture healthy child development and reduce the effects of trauma among children living in temporary housing programs in the District of Columbia... suggested $5 or $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to the Homeless Children's Playtime Project and 20% of donations will go to the 30s & 40s Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses.
DJ Saam will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.
If you haven't been there before, Ultrabar features a unique blend of classic architecture and modern amenities.
To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this, for an icebreaker, we'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar. Also, 30s & 40s Allstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!

Metro
Closest Metro is Galleryplace/Chinatown (Red, Yellow, Green Lines), I suggest metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata for travel plans. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays.

Anyone planning to go from Vienna Metro?
Does it start at exactly 6? Can I show up later? Like 8ish ?
@May - It does start at 6pm, but you can certainly show up later. Folks usually arrive between 6pm to 9pm.
My first event and I liked it
Had a great time on Friday volunteering and meeting new people, especially the women who danced with me.
Had a good time, as well! It was great to meet all of you! Look forward to the next one!
This was my first event with the group & I thought it was a really good event! I met loads of nice people! It was a nice "Party for a Good Cause" which I always appreciate!
My first event too! I was supposed to meet three new people according to the organizer, but instead I met 3 times 3 times 3 new people, lol, looking forward to the next charity event! Made a bunch of new friends!
