Yeah, it was a bit loud, but overall it was an interesting event to be a part of and lots of fun. I met some very nice people even if it was mostly surface conversation.

We needed to be spread out more. I know that the description said it gets loud, but this could have been better, I'd we had not been crowded in so tightly at the tables. 60 peoria at $15 a person means you collected $900 minimum. There is no way this placed charged anywhere close to that to reserve this space. I didn't realize that meetups were a money making venture.

@Jodi, thank you for your feedback, you've been heard. We charge for events to cover the cost of the event itself, as well as to help cover our group operating expenses. We do have a life outside of Meetup, so we've hired assistants to help us run and manage our group. They post events, promote events, send out emails, send out newsletters, manage payments, manage guest lists, manage sponsor ads, upload photos, manage our Facebook, Twitter, (and other) accounts, to name just a few of their responsibilities. Running a group this large, with as many varied events as we put together for our members, is no small feat. Great idea but poorly coordinated by leader. I wasn't able to find anyone from the group and the leader offered very little effort to help to bring the group together. I was able to enjoy the event anyway.

It was a lovely lunch, wherein, I meet some really nice people. The Avengers movie was absolutely amazing. It was worth the $18 price tag. Thank y'all for coming! I hope to see you at other events.

People were nice and it was interesting to meet them. Avengers was a great movie, but unfortunately, the 3D IMAX experience left me a little motion sick afterwards. Also, the seven-hour-long meetup did seem a little long....

Unfortunately, what started out being a fun meetup, ended with me feeling very very uncomfortable. Everything was fine, until one guy would not take no for an answer. I told him 4 times that I was just there to meet new friends, but he insisted otherwise, even told me he had called a buddy of his to drive in and meet me. The only way I was able to escape from the conversation was to abruptly stand up and leave the restaurant. This was my first meetup with this group and, even though I had a good time initially, I will be very hesitant to return to another meetup.
